Take Shelter Movie Story Line:- The movie begins and you see a man; a married man and a father of a young girl, standing outside his house, staring at the skies and all of a sudden, the clouds burst with heavenly vengeance and oily rain falls on his palms. It is clear that the man has some disturbing thoughts on his mind, and something would soon go horribly wrong. That’s where the upcoming movie, Take Shelter, grips the viewers with a vice like grip that won’t loosen until the final shot. Curtis LaForche is a happily married man with a six-year-old daughter, Hannah, who is deaf but scheduled for a corrective surgery soon. His wife Samantha works part time and stays at home to tend to their daughter. Curtis has a job with a meager pay and with Hannah’s healthcare expenditure, it is always tight, yet it’s a happy family. Their lives take a cruel twist of fate when Curtis starts suffering from regular nightmares with a petrifying scene of an approaching apocalyptic storm. Unable to share his ordeal with anyone, Curtis tries to be brave and confront his fears, but soon the patterns emerge and he realizes that his hallucinations are actually visions of the future; a dark, deathly future. Samantha is horrified to learn that her husband might have been scarred and lost forever as he builds a storm shelter, earning the ire of neighbors and colleagues.
